The proposal was design a loft area that included a master bedroom and ensuite. Due to the size and depth of the property, the roof space was easily sufficient to include the rooms. Also as the property had a high roof pitch, which also helped by maximising the available floor space above a head height of 2 meters.

Our brief was to design a loft conversion which would include one extra bedroom with en-suite to this traditional 3-bedroomed semi-detached house. To accomplish this, we had to create a side dormer to provide sufficient head room to get the stairs into the loft space and a rear dormer.

This is a proposal for a Loft Conversion on a semi-detached property in Eastham. The property is set on a long road of similar properties built around the mid 1930’s, a large number of which have already added dormers and other roof alterations to the existing properties. Our brief was to design a loft conversion which would include one extra bedroom with en-suite, to this 3-bedroomed semi-detached house.
